Chevrolet
Astro: The Can-Do Van
Got
a job to do? Chevrolet Astro can handle it. Astro packs a 190
hp Vortec 4300 V6 engine that generates 250 lb.-ft. of torque
and provides you with a towing capacity of 2449 kg (5400 lb.).
Not only does Astro provide the most towing capacity in its
class*. Astro also provides a lot more towing capacity than
any minivan*. And standard on all Astro models is a Tow/Haul
mode that enhances trailering ability by producing a more aggressive
automatic transmission shift pattern to compensate for heavy
loads. Astro is available as a cargo van or a passenger van.
And every one comes with legendary Chevy capability and strength
built right in.

Fill
er Up
Astro is far more than a strong and capable hauler. Inside Astro
Passenger Van, for instance, youll find a standard eight-passenger
seating configuration, with front bucket seats and removable
three-passenger second and third row bench seats. The second
and third row seatbacks can be folded forward to create a flat
loading surface. Or if you remove the bench seats completely,
Astro provides a total cargo capacity of 4825 L (170.4 cu. ft.).
If it's people youre carrying, youll be happy to
know that Astro includes air conditioning, power door locks
and windows, cruise control and CD player, standard.
The Confidence Factor
There are many reasons to feel confident in Astro. And of all
those reasons, a long list of safety features is perhaps the
most important. Astro includes standard four-wheel vented disc
brakes with anti-lock braking systems, driver and front passenger
frontal air bags, and many other built-in safety items like
steel side-guard door beams and front and rear crush zones.
So no matter what you put into Astro, peace of mind is already
there.
